Information we collect

  • Contact and consultation forms. Name, email address, company and the message you send. Used only to reply to your enquiry.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not require an account to read articles or lessons. Code you run in a lesson executes in your own browser and is not sent to us.

Free tools

The tools at /tools/ run in your own browser. Files you choose, text you type, and camera or microphone input are processed on your device and are not sent to us.

  • The Online Notepad and Resume Builder save what you type in your browser’s local storage on your device, so it is there when you return. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
  • Some tools download a code library from jsDelivr the first time you use them. The Background Remover downloads its model from Hugging Face. Those services receive a standard request, including your IP address, but not your files or text.

Cookies and advertising

Blog, lesson and tool pages may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where the law requires consent for advertising cookies, we ask for it before those cookies are set.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact form.
